If you have been observant , in recent times you may have seen many people selling  perfumes. This is because there's a huge Market for it. Alot of people prefer mostly oil perfumes because of their long lasting fragrance.

Before I proceed, here are some reasons why perfume business maybe a great business that you may want to participate

1) We are at the moment, 201,842,321 people in Nigeria.

2) Over 75% of people in the population above fall under age, 10 – infinity.

Perfume users are from age 5 – infinity.

3) The average family in Nigeria can afford to buy one (1) perfume in the house.

4) Humans, especially Nigerians, want to smell nice and attract good things for themselves.

Although anyone who is interested can start a perfume business but some key things must be considered which include Having a business plan: it's always said that he who fails to plan is already planning to fail. It doesn't matter what your plans are but you need to have a plan on how to succeed.

1) DECIDE THE TYPE OF PERFUME BUSINESS YOU WANT TO DO

You can decide to start small, go medium or large it all depends on how much time you have and your capital.

If you are thinking of starting small with a capital of about 10,000 to 15,000 then you should go for buying and selling perfumes in small bottles. 

After you ordered and they are delivered to you, you can start selling them immediately.

If you are thinking of selling a designers brand as they are in their cases , you will need a capital of about #50,000- #100,000. 

Here you need to locate where they sell wholesale designers perfume in your area and buy from them. 

Ensure to buy mostly the perfumes that are already in demand.

You can ask the dealer you are buying from to help you in selecting them.

Finally, if you think of creating your brand and owning your perfume Company, you will need to have #500,000 to #1,000,000 as a capital.

This capital is to help you learn how to make perfume by yourself, register your brand with SON and your perfume business with CAC.

The capital should equally be enough to help you buy little materials for mass production of the perfume and to employ staff.

With the analysis above, it's important to decide which channel is suitable for you.

1) Be a product of your products. Use your perfume regularly. Many people only sell things but don't use those things. don't be like them.

2) keep your perfumes away from sunlight. Direct sunlight affect perfume's potency negativity. 

Also try as much as possible to keep your perfumes casings neat and clean. Don't allow customers rough handle the casing in the name of checking out your perfumes. 

You can always assist customers in bringing out the perfumes from the the case for them.
